It is important for Communication majors to study design to become well rounded and know how to cover every aspect. Communication now deals with the public through the internet in many different ways. Whether its a blog, Facebook page or website.

• Why does good design matter?

Good design matters because it helps build a brand and makes things memorable.

• Write about a favorite piece of design that you’ve noticed. This can be a poster, a package design, a billboard, a menu, a brochure, etc. What do you like about it? Why do you think it can be considered good design?

My favorite piece of design is the FedEx logo. I love how the artist kept the design simple yet straight forward. I also like how he manages to put an arrow in the design, which symbolizes going forward.
